Today’s topic: Sensors and Perception, distinguishing AI from traditional computing, applications
SETUP: White board matrix: want to learn, excited to do, worries/fears, questions (pens + post its) Check kitchen - hot/cold water? Cups? Makey Makey - extras from library, aluminum foil
DAILY SCHEDULE - 8-9, camp setup, PD teacher overview 830-9am - pick up Students at Bryan Lobby, Ralph is with campers 9-9:20am, settle in, ice breaker and starter activity: Get to know names + future invention, with a ball outside
9:20-10:20am: first learning session + hands on creation Whiteboard matrix: want to learn, excited to do, worries/fears, questions
Learning about our senses: There are 7! (+ proprioception - body in space, vestibular - balance) Classroom discussion, re: naming our senses, computer equivalents i.e. sensors, going further acting them out; Perception - filter on our senses. Hot/cold/neutral water buckets (optional)

10:20-11:00am: computer time Getting to know our Cozmo robots (+hand outs)
11:00-11:30: AI game time: board games, students may continue working with robots
11:30-12: lunch! (students bring) - Woolworth (room is reserved 11:30-1:30) 12-12:30 outside, recess (group games with Computational Thinking strategies) - Dance studio Park Ranger?

12:50-1:50: second learning session + creation: What makes AI, AI? What is traditional computing? “Now” applications vs future applications, AI is not magic, it’s code!

3:00-3:10: questions and reflections 3:10, pack up and clean up, 3:15, head over to dismissal 3:30 - Student Drop-Off - Bryan Lobby and Lawn, waiting for parents, boredom busters 3:30-4pm - PD takeaways/reflection/setup for next camp day
